Birth of a Wine Company

Our wine company was born hiking in the magnificent Marin Headlands in Northern California.  Scott and I had both been in the wine business for over 25 years working for other people.  Scott had made wines and built brands for other companies, only to see them sold and the new companies reaping the benefits.  It was time to do it for ourselves.

Scott's expertise is in blending and creating brands.  My greatest thrill is in pioneering a brand.  We didn't want to be limited to just one label, varietal, area or demographic.  That's how we developed the name--Creative Wine Concepts.    The company was launched with our flagship brand--Scott Harvey Wines stemming from the area where Scott built his reputation --Amador County.
